ZAM wants to be a Javanese now?

Its really hilarious to see a person of South Asian origin using a word common to my ancestry (Javanese), i.e., the word goblok. I didn’t think anyone not in touch with Javanese roots would know the word.

Guess I was wrong:

The people must wise up to “goblok” (political bloggers) because some of them were willing to become tools of others to destroy the nation, said Information Minister Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin.

He said these bloggers belonged to groups with limited knowledge and had evil intentions.

“They support foreign elements bent on destroying our beloved country,” he told reporters after launching the 2007 Jalur Gemilang (National Flag) Convoy in front of the Merdeka (Independence) Declaration Memorial in Bandar Hilir here today.

Goblok means “super-idiot” in Javanese. In fact the meaning is much more derogatory than “super-idiot”. That comment about bloggers working with foreign elements has to be the most goblok statement of the year. Come to think of it, if anyone is being goblok here, I think you will fit the bill perfectly, you goblok ZAM.
