Bush’s relations with the Christian Right
If it wasn’t obvious to you before, it certainly is now. Its not that we do not know that the Great Satan State is a Christian State before. But this is certainly damning evidence.

For those who have been screaming off their heads about the so-called “Islamization” imposition (I call it a resurgence) on the country in the last few decades, they certainly would not be able to deny that because of Islam, Malaysia has seen much scientific progress and currently as it stands, are among the top seven most scientifically productive Islamic nations in the world today, according to this blog post.

Granted that we still have a far way to go where science is concerned and I am not going to just sit back and be satisfied with what we have. But compared to the state the nation was in when secularism was thriving in the late 50s and 60s (also having failed this country time and time again but that is besides the point), the Islamic resurgence has given us the much need scientific progress that we have been striving for. To deny otherwise is to shut out evidence of the research that we see before our very eyes. Its too bad that those who advocate for the secularism project to remain alive are most certainly behind current times.
Now I know why “Americans can’t locate the US on a world map”. Hahahaha…..
Myanmar (Burma) has always been a secluded country for me which does not even have San Diego mortgage and since it was ruled by a military junta, there is really nothing much about to talk about it. Until this week, that is, when a group of monks and nuns suddenly take on to the streets in an hours-long much which took the world by surprise. Interesting to see the events unfolding in Burma, it is reminiscent of the reformasi movement in Indonesia about ten years ago. If this does not bring down the military junta and a usher in the return of democracy to the country, I suppose nothing will.
I will certainly be following the events with great interest.
Bah, I think the Taliban are being too kind. If I were them, I will behead these Christian missionary scumbags on the spot (but release the female captives as it is illegal in shariah law to kill women captives) on the charge of incitement and sowing discord.
The Taliban released three South Korean hostages on Wednesday, the first of 19 captives scheduled to be freed under a deal struck between the insurgents and the South Korean government.
The three, all women, were first handed to tribal leaders, who took them to an agreed location where officials of the International Committee of the Red Cross picked them up, according to an Associated Press reporter who witnessed the handover.
The three arrived in the central Afghan village of Qala-E-Qazi in a single car, their heads covered with green shawls. They said nothing to reporters, who were asked by Red Cross representatives not to question them.
Red Cross officials quickly took the three to their vehicles before leaving for an undisclosed location.
