Pictures of my trip to JB a few days back is now up at Facebook.

Its not official (yet) but its definitely moving closer towards that. Two days ago, my family and I went to her sister’s house in KL for the merisik [investigation?] ritual. Long story short, what has to be done was indeed done. Bought for her a gold ring too (now that part, I do not mind at all!). Now all I have to do is wait for her family to agree to it in order to proceed with the next step.
Insha’allah.
My darling has turned sweet 26 today and I love her so much. I’ve bought a special gift for her but I do want to share something more meaningful with her. I’ve always liked ballroom dancing and certainly would like to learn how to do it. After all, I love listening to Michael Buble’s “Save The Last Dance For Me” not only because of the lovely jazz music, but because of the lyrics as well. DanceCrazy.com is one such site which teaches you the intricates of dancing with your partner without tripping her feet. Its a very interesting site which is certainly a good resource for dancing. Maybe I should take her to a ballroom dance after I’ve mastered it, where we can share a private moment together, just the two of us. Of course that is only possible after a marriage. I would have never suggested otherwise, you kappish?
Duh, I nearly forgot about it…I thought the 27th was supposed to be tomorrow
But it was exactly one year ago from today that I met this beautiful, wonderful, loving and caring, most of all pious, woman whom I now call my darling. Of course everything wasn’t so smooth during the course of our relationship. I guess like every other couple, we did quarrel and fought almost to the point of breaking up. Somehow we always managed to reconcile our differences, patch things up and get back together again.
Ah, women….either you love them or you hate ‘em. But by Allah’s Grace, I was lucky enough to be chosen by her to become her partner and I do find the girl of my dreams in her. She’s not perfect but I will never demand perfectness over taqwa and piety to God Almighty. That is an attribute which she possesses that I have not found in anyone else. And I will choose no one else besides her to be my soulmate for life. Thank you, sayang, for being part of my life.
And I love you so much.
I can tell you one thing: driving from Pontian to JB and back again to KL in a car that can only go up to speeds of 80 km/h is really frustrating. But for the sake of capturing this moment, it was certainly well worth it.

Taken at Danga Bay, 20th August 2007 around 1pm before I headed back to KL. I’m missing her already.
