“Bloggerphobia” is not limited to Malaysia

Filed under: Middle East, Politics & Government — menj @ 12:57 pm

While the goblok monkeys elected to the “People’s Hall” [supposedly to serve the people] are bickering about what they should or should not do to bloggers, with one particular keris-wielding, ethno-centric secularist party even suggesting a “cyber-patrol” online, things are no different in Egypt. A blogger, Ahmed Saad Domah, who is affiliated with the Ikhwan al-Muslimin was seen “taken away”, hauled into a navy blue Chevrolet taxi, and vanished from sight.

The Palestine situation is because of the Israeli occupation

Filed under: Middle East — menj @ 3:02 pm

Abbas has made his move and (unconstitutionally, I might add) attempted to declare a “state emergency”. Olmert must be rubbing his hands in glee because he knows that Hamas is the only party standing in his way for total domination. I hope Hamas will just simply throw the bastard Abbas along with his corrupt entourage into the sea and call for new Presidential elections. Refer: A setback for the Bush doctrine in Gaza.

That Western puppet is not fit for office.

“Al-Qaeda”, the USA bogeyman

Filed under: Middle East, Politics & Government — menj @ 6:22 pm

Frankly, I don’t believe that a terrorist network called “Al-Qaeda” ever existed. Bin Laden and Al-Zawahiri are real people, of course. But it is inconceivable that they are right now hiding in some obscure location, giving orders from a central command centre. That is plain nonsense.

“Al-Qaeda” is a USA bogeyman which is as real as the tooth fairy. Or Santa Claus. Or the half-naked man swinging from a cross that Bush worships.

I grieve for Palestine

Filed under: Middle East — menj @ 10:40 pm

I saw the news for about two hours on Al-Jazeera International this morning before I could not stomach it anymore and switched it off. The Lebanese army are waging their campaign in a Palestinian refugee camp against an obscure group called Fatah al-Islam in Tripoli and many Palestinian civillians are being killed in the process. Israeli fighters are launching their terror campaign in Gaza and more Palestinians were killed as well.

I grieve for Palestine, for a people who were not only ousted out of their homes, but uprooted from their homeland as well (in what is known today as “Israel”), by a racist and tyrannical regime which upholds a secular and ethno-centric ideology which can only be called “apartheid”. I grieve for Palestine, my brothers and sisters who are being butchered, murdered and killed at every opportunity.

Real Middle East peace talks now

Filed under: Middle East — menj @ 7:11 pm

Avaanz.org is organising a petition drive to persuade those involved in the Middle East conflict to come to a peace solution. According to them:

It will soon be seven long and devastating years since the top Israeli, Palestinian, and international leaders sat down together to talk peace. But this week that tide could turn - on Monday, President Abbas and Prime Minister Olmert will meet briefly with US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice in Jerusalem.

We cannot afford to let Monday’s summit lead nowhere. This may be our best chance in years at peace, but only if the players agree to meaningful negotiations. We have to show them the world is watching. Click below to sign our petition calling for full Middle East peace talks — your message will be delivered to summit leaders and published in leading Israeli and Palestinian newspapers on Monday.

You can sign the petition at this link. However, pardon my pessimism but I really do not believe that this will go anywhere as this blog documents. As long as Israel holds thousands of Palestinians in their jails, continue their brutal and humiliating Occupation of Palestinians and violate the sanctity of Al-Quds, there will never be any peace. If Israel wants to be acknowledged as having a right to exist, then they must first acknowledge the right of a Palestinian state to exist first.
