Bah, I think the Taliban are being too kind. If I were them, I will behead these Christian missionary scumbags on the spot (but release the female captives as it is illegal in shariah law to kill women captives) on the charge of incitement and sowing discord.
The Taliban released three South Korean hostages on Wednesday, the first of 19 captives scheduled to be freed under a deal struck between the insurgents and the South Korean government.
The three, all women, were first handed to tribal leaders, who took them to an agreed location where officials of the International Committee of the Red Cross picked them up, according to an Associated Press reporter who witnessed the handover.
The three arrived in the central Afghan village of Qala-E-Qazi in a single car, their heads covered with green shawls. They said nothing to reporters, who were asked by Red Cross representatives not to question them.
Red Cross officials quickly took the three to their vehicles before leaving for an undisclosed location.

Malaya’s 50th anniversary of Independence Day is today. Should I be elated? I do not know. While I am quietly grateful that I have lived up to this moment to witness a historic milestone, I wonder whether I will be around during Malaya’s next anniversary milestone, at its 100th? I guess we have our share of problems and difficulties throughout the course of the last 50 years. But the country has persevered throughout those years and we have made our mark on the world map. Insha’allah Malaya will remain for the next fifty years and the struggle for a just state will not end.
A very happy Independence Day occassion to all Malayans, may Allah bless this country and its people.
Oh, and in case you are wondering, there is a historical reason why I refer to the original name of Persekutuan Tanah Melayu instead of Malaysia. Historically speaking, Malaysia did not exist in 1957, it only existed on 16th September 1963.

If you are going for Used Cars, you should go with cars that are known for their quality. I prefer to go for used cars which are of European make as they were meant to last long and from experience, these type of cars tend to perform very well even despite their age. I have tried many used cars before but the car brand that I love the best is the Mercedes, hands down. I used to drive around a Used Mercedes car which belonged to my uncle, but was on loan to my family. I had a great time bringing the car and testing the limits of the car. Despite the fact that the car was manufactured in 1996, E Class 230 model, it performed very well on the highway and never gave me any problems. Performance was at optimum as a car of a Mercedes brand would perform. It was a very reliable car, compared to the Audi that my father used to drive. There were some problems with the air-conditioning in the past but that was easily fixed. It could have lasted longer but in the end it could no longer hold itself together. It was great while it lasted.
Yes, I love the Mercedes a lot. So if you are looking for Mercedes Dealers, check out VCars UK today!
After fifty years of “Independence”, what has actually been achieved? Are we truly in a state of Merdeka, when the status of Islam is being challenged and we have Islamophobes running around doing just that?
The “social contract” (whatever that means, since its only an agreement between Alliance party leaders without any public referendum) is constantly being challenged by those who want to revise it in their favour. The position of Islam as the Religion of the Federation is constantly being threatened, apostasy is not being dealt with comprehensively by the authorities concerned. Some quarters are even appealing to the Agung that His Majesty should take steps to allow for “freedom of religion” (read: apostasy), which is an irony since as the Head of Islam, His Majesty certainly cannot allow for something which contradicts the teachings of the Deen! Those who insist that this country is “secular” seemed to have overlooked the fact that the Constitution explicitly provides for public funds to be allocated to religious institutions. A secular document will not allow for such provisions in the text. Malaysia is not truly “Islamic” in the fullest sense of the word, but neither are we “secular”.
Come to think of it, I have never agreed to any “social contract” which results in a demotion of the position of Islam in the country.
Alhamdulillah, I managed to complete the Nisfu Sha’aban fast the whole day yesterday. It was a bit tiring but certainly it was worth it. After having to deal with the Betina Jalang @ The Murtadd Bitch on the previous occassion, cleansing of the soul via the Nisfu Sha’aban fast (a practice which is the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him) is certainly needed. Its fortunate that I remembered about it this year. Last year I missed it because I had the wrong date, turned out to be a day later. Sigh. There are many practices associated with the date which is not part of the Sunnah of the Rasul. The only thing that is authentic is the fasting, not the other practices such as reading Surah Yassin three times on the night of Nisfu Sha’aban. Such practices have no validity in the authentic hadith or sunnah.
And since this is already the mid-Shaaban, it will not be long now before Ramadhaan descends upon us. Insha’allah this coming Ramadhaan will be able to purge out the cancer that is plaguing the ummah and we will be able to distinguish who is friend or foe, who is truly a Muslim and who is not.
