His Hornyness, the man with two Muhammads in his name

Filed under: Politics & Government — menj @ 7:55 pm

This is certainly quite the revelation. I vaguely remember the story but this article by RPK not only confirms it, but gives clarity to the whole issue I have downloaded all the scanned documents for my personal safekeeping as yet another colourful chapter in the history of UMNO leaders series of (mis)endeavorers.

So if His Hornyness wants to sicc the ISA on me, the documents which MT has revealed will most certainly make his face blush.

Umno Youth proposes formation of cyber-police

Filed under: Computers & Internet, Politics & Government — menj @ 1:45 pm

I’d like to see them try to do this. Its extremely impossible to police the internet….unless you somehow can figure out who’s who behind all those cowards who use the most ridiculous names unimaginable.

The government was today urged to form a cyber police unit to maintain surveillance over the acivities of bloggers.

Federal Territory Umno youth head, Datuk Paduka Norza Zakaria said the Internal Security; Energy, Water and Communications; Science, Technology and Innovation; and Information Ministries should also take immediate action on the matter.

“The government should take firm action against the irresponsible bloggers according to existing law,” Norza said in a statement representing Umno youth at state levels.

ZAM wants to be a Javanese now?

Filed under: Politics & Government, Society & Culture — menj @ 10:47 pm

Its really hilarious to see a person of South Asian origin using a word common to my ancestry (Javanese), i.e., the word goblok. I didn’t think anyone not in touch with Javanese roots would know the word.

Guess I was wrong:

The people must wise up to “goblok” (political bloggers) because some of them were willing to become tools of others to destroy the nation, said Information Minister Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin.

He said these bloggers belonged to groups with limited knowledge and had evil intentions.

“They support foreign elements bent on destroying our beloved country,” he told reporters after launching the 2007 Jalur Gemilang (National Flag) Convoy in front of the Merdeka (Independence) Declaration Memorial in Bandar Hilir here today.

Goblok means “super-idiot” in Javanese. In fact the meaning is much more derogatory than “super-idiot”. That comment about bloggers working with foreign elements has to be the most goblok statement of the year. Come to think of it, if anyone is being goblok here, I think you will fit the bill perfectly, you goblok ZAM.

I busted RM237 in one day

Filed under: Books & Reading — menj @ 6:48 pm

So I went to the International Islamic Fair 2007 at PWTC this afternoon with RM200+ in cash and I came out of the door two hours later with RM20 left. That’s how bad I am when it comes to books. I did manage to buy this very nice kupiah, which you can see me wearing here.

Yeah, if you want find a way to part me from my money and turn me into a pauper, its really relatively very easy to do. Just turn me loose into a book fair with a pocketful of money, and I will walk out of the door two hours later laden with books but with no money left.

In total, the two receipts amounts to RM237 from two major book publishers: Islamic Book Trust and Dar-us-salam Publications. But really, I don’t mind. I think what stands me out most from the Liberal Islam idiots (Deists, Libertartians, or whatever they want to label themselves) who claims themselves to be “instant experts” on Islam and make nefarious claims about the deen is that very much unlike them, I love to read.

Now you don’t see it, now you see it (with proxy)

Filed under: Computers & Internet, Politics & Government — menj @ 10:02 pm

You know, before this hulubaloo with Malaysia Today, I never really did bother going to that particular news portal to read the rumours posted there. But seeing how desperate the current establishment is to block access to the website, one really wonders whether there is any truth in the writings after all.

This is Malaysia Today without proxy access.

Both are accessing the same URL. Spineless Jellyfish Prime Minister starting his censor of the internet? It won’t work for long. Trust me.
