Now we know why Benedict XVI did it

Filed under: Religion & Philosophy — menj @ 10:22 pm

With a such a colourful past, it is no wonder why he did what he did.

As John Paul II’s right hand man, in charge of enforcing the conservative papal policy, Cardinal Ratzinger earned an unfortunate nickname from his more progressive peers: the “Panzer Cardinal”. Like the tank. Pope Benedict XVI, now 78, had his own brush with warfare as a young boy growing up in Nazi Germany.

Case closed.

A week of Ramadhan

Filed under: Religion & Philosophy — menj @ 4:18 pm

Its already been 7 days since Ramadhan began. Very fulfilling and interesting week, alhamdulillah. One thing is certain, and that is Ramadhan totally changes your usual habits and lifestyle. You become more conscious of the Almighty and seek to please Him alone and only for His sake.

Some anak haram is trying to challenge Allah’s Revelation

I am referring to this b*d. Who does this person think he is? Fortunately I roused poor Ibn Juferi al-Amriki from his sleep and alerted him about the blog. He kindly wrote a reply which you can see here. Its a lame list anyway — it was copied from Answering Islam and rehashed many, many times in various forms and versions.

Apparently this person has also started an equivalent list for the Bible, and the Christian response is here. Whoever he or she is, its definately neither a Muslim nor a Christian.
