Yeah, really, I need to take a break from blogging. Not because of blogging burnout, but I need to focus on my “babies”: Bismika Allahuma and Noorullah Online. I am working on two new articles for the former and as for the latter, I am working on a promotion campaign to pull visitors to it. So blogging is out of the question for the next few days or so.
Since I’ve already mentioned Noorullah Online, I would like to invite Muslims to visit the site and register at our forum. And oh, did I mention that we’re working on an Islamic blogtal? Yup, a new service for the Muslim ummah blogging community: An Islamic Blogtal. Its still in alpha so its not open yet. But you can post your blog details at Noorullah Online and we will announce the details on how to ping once the service is working
This blog is 25% evil, 75% good. At least according to The Gematriculator.
I have plans to rejuvenate the MENJ.ORG forum which has been quiet lately. Its my fault actually, since I don’t really post about it. Anyway I would like to state here that this blog is what it says it is, a collection of my personal thoughts, and its meant to be run like a guided democracy (demokrasi terpimpin). Meaning, apart from the issues raised in those posts, you are not really supposed to talk about anything else.
In the forum, however, it is a different story. You can say anything you want according to the board topic. You can even suggest new board topics which you want to talk about but is not there (yet). So I would like to invite all to visit the forum and register there, so that discussion can take place in its proper environment.
I think it is a great idea. I’ve been oh-so-frustrated lately that the article I have been working on since 2004 (on Dr. Ismail Faruqi) has yet to reach FA status.
Hence, in support of this new system, I’ve placed a reward notice of my own, which you can see here. Anyone up to the challenge? Those books are rare and does not come cheap.
Still in a state of disbelief over MGG Pillai’s death.
Anyway, I am looking through my harddrive and CD archives for the last email MGG wrote to me confirming the story about the three alternative locations for “Putrajaya”: Bukit Tinggi, Janda Baik and Prang Besar. We all know which got selected in the end. The tale which MGG Pillai explained behind the three locations is very interesting. I think it is only a fitting tribute to the man that I post it here.
Now where did I place that blardy file….?
