It won’t be long now before I will have to sell all my worldly possessions, even my now-aging AMD Sempron 1.5GHz, just to survive for a day. Give or take two years from now. I hate to say “I told you so” but this “BN” (Barang Naik) government is totally hopeless. With an Encik Jellyfish at the helm, it will only get worse.
I know what party I will not vote for now when the GE in 2008 comes. Let’s hope there’s no revolution or “people’s power” movement between now and then.
I just got the news about Bushbadee’s passing from his son who posted the news on the Bismika Allahuma forum.
He was an American Jew and (ironically) one of the earliest members of the Bismika Allahuma forum. I first met him in (another irony) on soc.culture.judaism, which is one of the most virulent anti-Arab newsgroup you cannot find anywhere else. Somehow despite our differences in culture and religion, we have always respected each other even though we disagree on many aspects. Read his posts in the forum. I believe that towards the end of his life, he had moderated his view of Palestinians and Muslims in general, and I can sincerely say that he is one of the few Jews I know who was not tainted by the scourge of Zionism.
May his soul rest in peace, and my condolences to his family for their loss.
