I started discourses about Islam on the Internet online since 2000. One of the first bulletin boards aka online forums which I frequent regularly at the time was Time.com’s ((yes, the magazine) online bulletin boards. For some reason which I don’t quite follow, Time Magazine decided to shut the boards down. Which is a shame, really, because back then there wasn’t many online forums, PHP was a practically a new technology and getting yourself a host server was very (and I mean VERY) darned expensive.
Anyway, I started a “thread” on that board back in year 2000, titling it “Islam and Qur’an”. The discussions were pretty courteous and orderly, but there was one flaw — I wasn’t as knowledgeable as I thought I was then in Islam as I do now. In fact, I am pretty darned sure that I knew naught about the polemics surrounding Islam. But then again, there was no September 11th and Islam was an “alien” religion to the Westerner. No one back then accused Islam of being “violent”, much less accuse Muslims of being terrorists. Oh, the wonder (read: Golden Age) of the Clinton era….

Heh, its like a dream come true when I saw this blog featured on PPS. I’d always had this gut feeling that Titus will make it big someday and breathe life in our miserable footballing state. Here’s hoping that Titus will step into the shoes of the late Mokhtar Dahari.
